Dr. Y. D. Imran Khan received his PhD in Zoology (Specialization in Ecology) from Bangalore University and has been working as a researcher in ecology in various Government and Non-government institutions for more than a decade. His research focuses on contemporary topics such as conservation biology, biodiversity and its conservation, arid ecosystems, socio-ecology, rural development and forest-based livelihoods.
