अपने कटे हुए सर
कटी हुई बाहें
कटे हुए पैर
और क्षत विक्षत आत्माएं लेकर
हम भटक रहें हैं
हम कातर कबंध…
हम सब कटुए हैं, राजन!
हम उस मां के कटे हुए सर हैं
जिसे पातकी पितृत्व की मदिरा से चूर
पाखंडी परशु ने धड़ से अलग कर दिया था
हम अधूरे धड़ से
मां के कटे हुए शीश के कल्ले
माटी में बोते हैं…
हम सब कटुए हैं, राजपुरूष!
हम उस तापस कुमार के भूलुंठित शीश हैं
जिसे खोखली मर्यादा की म्यान से निकाली गई
और जाति दर्प से विष बुझाई तलवार ने
काट दिया था...
जिसे किसी ने नहीं सुना
और जो अट्टहास गूंजता है हमारी संस्कृति कंदराओं में
हम उस कटे हुए शीश के अट्टहास हैं...
हम सब कटुए हैं, राजदंडाधिकारियो!
हम युगों युगों से
उस युवती की रक्त स्रावित नाक हैं
जिसे पुरुष के अहम ने
जिसे राज पुरुष दंभ ने काट दिया था
हमारी नककटी सभ्यता उस युवती के रक्त में
स्नान कर रही है और डुबकी मार
अपना ईश्वर खोज रही है
हम सब कटुए हैं, चक्रवर्ती!
हम उस योद्धा का कटा हुआ अंगूठा हैं
जिसे एक कपटी गुरुता ने काट लिया था
और फिर लगातार कटते रहे अंगूठे
कटते रहे सर
कटती रहीं बांहे
कटती रही उंगलियां
देखो आक्षितिज बिखरे हैं कटे हुए अंगूठे|
देखो उन कटे हुए अंगूठों के निशान ले रही है मंत्रिपरिषद
देखो उन कटे हुए अंगूठों की माला पहन रहे हैं महामात्य
हम सब कटुए हैं, अभिजात्यों!
हम सब कटुए हैं और बहुमत में हैं
हम खड़े हैं इतिहास के राजपथों पर
अपनी कटी हुई पहचान हथेलियों पर सजाए
आप इस देश को छोड़ें सम्राट
अपने नवनीत वदन और संपूर्ण कलेवर के साथ
ये देश हमारा है
ये आर्यावर्त कटुओं का है
Dismembered bodies
We are all dismembered pieces of flesh, katue.
We are all broken, disjointed beings, Amatya.
Wandering around with our cut-off heads,
arms, legs,
and our fragmented souls.
Walking in a row our headless bodies…

We are the chopped- off heads
of that mother
axed by the hypocritical son Parashu
drunk on the sinful idea of fatherhood.
Planting the shoots of our mothers’ chopped heads
into the soil,
we are all, with our headless bodies,
dismembered pieces of flesh, minister.
We are the rolling heads the young ascetic
chopped off by a sword, pulled from
the empty scabbard of dignity,
poisoned by caste pride...
We are the roaring laugh that no one heard,
that which echoes in the caves of our culture.
We are the laugh of that severed head...
We, dismembered pieces of flesh, my Lord,
O rulers of the state!
For ages and ages now
we have been the bleeding nose
of the woman, chopped off by the male ego
and arrogance of royal men.
Our villainous civilisation is soaking
in the blood of that woman,
diving into it in search of Gods.
We all are dismembered pieces of flesh, katue, O Emperor!
We are the amputated thumb of that warrior
cut off by the deceitful greatness of a teacher
Thumbs severed
Heads rolling
Arms dangling
Fingers chopped off
Look at the horizon lined with severed thumbs
Look at the council of ministers collecting thumbprints
The Mahamatya, the Chief Minister, wears a garland
of amputated thumbs
O elites, we are all dismembered pieces of flesh, katue.
