ପରୀ ୧୫ଟି ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇଥାଏ: ଇଂରାଜୀ, ହିନ୍ଦୀ, ଊର୍ଦ୍ଦୁ, ମରାଠୀ, ବଙ୍ଗଳା, ଓଡ଼ିଆ, ତାମିଲ, ତେଲୁଗୁ, ମାଲାୟଲମ, କନ୍ନଡ଼, ପଞ୍ଜାବୀ, ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ୀ, ଭୋଜପୁରୀ, ଅହମୀୟା ଓ ଗୁଜରାଟୀ। ଆପଣ ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେକୌଣସି ଭାଷାରେ ନିବନ୍ଧ ପଢ଼ିପାରିବେ। ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପାଞ୍ଚଟି ଭାଷା - ହିନ୍ଦୀ, ବଙ୍ଗଳା, ମରାଠୀ, ଊର୍ଦ୍ଦୁ ଓ ଓଡ଼ିଆରେ ‘ସ୍ଥାନୀୟକୃତ’ ସାଇଟ୍‌ ରହିଛି, ଏହା ହେଉଛି ଏକ ହୋମ୍‌ ପେଜ୍‌ ଯେଉଁଠି ମେନୁଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ସବୁକିଛି ଏକ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଭାଷାରେ ରହିଛି।ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଭାବେ ୪୦ଟି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଉଥିବା ବଡ଼ ଗଣମାଧ୍ୟମ ସଂଗଠନ ରହିଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମାନ ଭାବେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ଉଦାହରଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାଷା ପ୍ଲାଟଫର୍ମରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଇଂରାଜୀ ସାଇଟରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁର ମାତ୍ର ଗୋଟିଏ ଭାଗ ମିଳିବ।ପରୀରେ ଆମେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଉପରେ କାମ କରିଥାଉ : ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାଷା ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଭାଷା। ଆଉ ଏହାର ଅର୍ଥ ହେଉଛି ସବୁ ଭାଷା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସମାନତା। ଯଦି କୌଣସି ଲେଖା ଗୋଟିଏ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଉଛି ତା’ହେଲେ ଆମେ ତାହାକୁ ସମସ୍ତ ୧୫ଟି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ଭାଷାରେ ଉପସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା ଲାଗି ପ୍ରୟାସ କରିଥାଉ। ଆଗକୁ ଆମେ ପରୀରେ ଯେତେ ଭାଷା ଯୋଡ଼ୁ ପଛେ, ଆମର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବାର ପଦ୍ଧତି ସମାନ ରହିବ। ଆମେ ଆମ ଅନୁବାଦକମାନଙ୍କର ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଦଳକୁ ନେଇ ଏପରି କରିପାରିବାରେ ସକ୍ଷମ ହୋଇଛୁ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଆମେ ୧୭୦ ଜଣ ଅନୁବାଦକଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ କାମ କରିଛୁ - ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୦ ଜଣ ଏପରି ଅନୁବାଦକ ରହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ମାସରେ ସକ୍ରିୟତାର ସହିତ କାମ କରିଥାନ୍ତି। ଏହାବ୍ୟତୀତ ଆମେ ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାଷାରେ କେବଳ ଅନୁବାଦ କରିନଥାଉ, ମୂଳ ଲେଖା ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥାଉ।ଆମ ବିଚାରରେ, ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାଷାକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହନ ଦେବା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସମାଜ ପାଇଁ ଜରୁରୀ। ଏ ଦେଶର ଭାଷାଗତ ସମୃଦ୍ଧି ଏକ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କଥନକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଇଥିଲା - ଏଠାରେ ଯେମିତି ପ୍ରତି ତିନି ଚାରି କିଲୋମିଟରରେ ପାଣିର ସ୍ୱାଦ ଭିନ୍ନ, ସେମିତି ପ୍ରତି ୧୨-୧୫ କିଲୋମିଟରରେ ଭିନ୍ନ ଭିନ୍ନ ଭାଷାର ପ୍ରଚଳନ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଥାଏ।ହେଲେ ଆମେ ଏହାକୁ ନେଇ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ହୋଇ ପାରିବା ନାହିଁ। ପିପୁଲ୍‌ସ ଲିଙ୍ଗୁଇଷ୍ଟିକ୍‌ ସର୍ଭେ ଅଫ୍‌ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥାଏ ଯେ ଏହି ଦେଶରେ ପାଖାପାଖି ୮୦୦ ଜୀବନ୍ତ ଭାଷା ଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ଯେ ଗତ ୫୦ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ୨୨୫ ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାଷା ବିଲୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି।&nbsp;&nbsp;ବିଶେଷ କରି ଏପରି ଏକ ସମୟରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମିଳିତ ଜାତିସଂଘ କହିଥାଏ ଯେ ଚଳିତ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ଶେଷ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ବିଶ୍ୱର ୯୦-୯୫ ପ୍ରତିଶତ କଥିତ ଭାଷା ବିଲୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇଯିବ କିମ୍ବା ଗମ୍ଭୀର ଭାବେ ଲୁପ୍ତପ୍ରାୟ ସ୍ଥିତିକୁ ଚାଲି ଆସିବ। ପୁଣି ଏପରି ଏକ ସମୟରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ବିଶ୍ୱବ୍ୟାପୀ ପ୍ରତି ପନ୍ଦର ଦିନରେ ଥରେ ଅତିକମରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ୱଦେଶୀ ଭାଷା ଲୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇଯାଉଛି।ପରୀର ଭାଷା ଜଗତକୁ ସ୍ୱାଗତ।

Younger, media-saturated generations are growing up knowing little about their country, but a lot about the elites of a few metros and towns. For a narrowly-owned, commercially-driven media, the dumbing down of a nation is part of standard operating procedure. The last available data of the Centre for Media Studies (CMS, Delhi) show us that reports from New Delhi account for 66 per cent of news on the front pages of major dailies. The CMS data also found that just about 0.24 per cent of front page news came out of rural India. The TV channels are not much better.PARI exists to change that.We are a non-profit organisation. We publish under creative commons, and do not charge readers a subscription fee or put-up advertisements. Nothing is behind a paywall and we are completely free-to-access by anyone. We guard our independence and receive no direct grants from governments and corporations, nor any funding that could dictate our content.
